Welcome to UA RISE Flag Football in Waterdown, the most exciting youth flag football experience for boys and girls ages 5-18, powered by Under Armour!  

As one of Under Armour’s premier youth sports partnerships, we are excited to offer our players the best in fun, competition, and football skills to build confidence and leadership for youth athletes nationwide. With Rise Flag Football, your child will have the opportunity to learn the game of football, make new friends, and compete in a safe and positive environment.

We have three distinct divisions, each catering to specific players – from the newest players to those that have been playing on competitive teams for years.

UA RISE: 
Ages: 5 yrs – 13 yrs.
Our flagship signature program offers individual players the chance to learn, play, and grow in a supportive environment. Focused on fun and foundational skills, this program is perfect for players of all experience levels who want to build friendships and enjoy the game. Using the UA RISE rulebook. Players can have one friend request. No full teams or large friend groups.

UA NEXT: 
Ages: 8 yrs – 17 yrs.
Ready to take it to the next level? UA NEXT is for teams and free agents seeking competitive play. Whether you’re a full team looking to compete or an individual experienced player wanting to push yourself in a high-level league, this is where growth and competition collide. Using the Football Canada rulebook. Full/Partial teams and friend groups welcome.

UA GIRLS: 
Ages: 13 yrs – 17yrs.
An all-girls league offering an inclusive environment for players to develop their skills and build confidence. Whether they’re just starting out or already experienced, UA GIRLS creates a space for athletes to shine and grow together. Using the Football Canada rulebook. Friend requests welcome.

UA Flag Football divisions are based on the child’s age according to the Football Ontario Roster Age Categories for non-contact football.

• U8 Division YOB 2018 thru 2020
• U10 Division YOB 2016 & 2017
• U12 Division YOB 2014 and 2015
• U14 Division YOB 2012 & 2013
• U16 Division YOB 2010 & 2011
• UA GIRLS SR- YOB 2009, 2010,2011
• UA GIRLS JR – YOB 2012. 2013. 2014
• All divisions are Co-ed, except ALL-GIRLS
• Eight game season including playoffs and consolation games
• RISE: 6v6 format on 25 x 50 yd field (UA RISE Rules)
• NEXT/GIRLS: 5v5 format on 25 x 60 field (Football Canada Rules)
• 8-10 player rosters so everyone plays every game
• Team practice will be conducted on gameday – perfect for multi-sport athletes
• No tryouts or drafts – rosters are formed by friend or coach requests; single players are placed on teams with similar schools or neighbourhoods
• All coaches are volunteers

REGISTRATION FEES:
Base Registration Fee: $310.75 ($275+ HST)
Early Bird Registration Discount: -$28.25 (until January 31, 2025) ($250+ HST)
Late Registration Charge: +$28.25 (effective April 1, 2025 onwards) ($300 + HST)

(Siblings receive a $15 discount. The 1st Child is at Full Price with the 2nd and additional children receive the discount.  It will be applied automatically within the registration platform.)

Calling all Coaches! 
This league is powered by fantastic volunteer coaches.  Coaches get a $75 refund on their player’s fees. If you’re interested in coaching your player’s team, please let us know on the registration form!

Game Schedule:

Each game night consists of a 50 minute practice followed by a 50 minute game.
